"Assume dealer 10 in the hole". WHY? 30% of the cards are 10s, but guess what that means, 70% of the rest of the cards are not 10s. Do people think about this?

    You should split 4s versus a 5 or a 6…..

How to play Blackjack – Advanced…. Lets start with how to start playing.  Why even use 'Advanced' in the title if this is a video for complete rookies?

Basic strategy doesn't work… if it did blackjack wouldn't be the #1 casino table game in the world… & they wouldn't sell basic strategy charts in casino gift shops to use against em. Basic strategy is casino propaganda for its own benefit.

I always go by the rule never split anything that starts with an f…4,5, faces….(of course not aces)

You should always stay with your bet if you get a card with a face on it.

Mathematically even money is not recommended either.
Probability of winning is 38/49 (77.55%) in a fresh single deck and approaches 9/13 (76.92%) as more decks are played, neglecting advantage play. Multiply this by 1.5 and your average return without even money is 57/49 for a fresh single deck and approaches 27/26 for infinite decks. Neglect the push term as it is zero. You now obtain the expected return.
By not taking even money you risk a push, but you'll miss out the risk premium in the long run. Adding decks will dilute that only down to 1/26. Still a better play.
In short, don't take even money unless you've seen too few 10s since the previous shuffle.

I know that the one with "double up and catch up'' is called the Martingale but , how do you call that strategy with " up one chip take the rest back, up one chip take the rest back, up one chip take the rest back……….."?

Barney Vinson is a charlatan. How dare he give players terrible advice like no surrender and never split 4's.

I tuned out when his buddy wasn't actually Jack Black.  Hope I didn't miss anything.

In the 13th minute he says to never split 4's but on the basic strategy chart it says to split 4's when the dealer is showing a 5 or a 6.

This is nothing of advanced playing! This is something everyone should know.
